Martha Collins (Night Unto Night, 2018) will teach a poetry workshop at Chautauqua Institution. Through the reading of published poems and daily writing prompts, we’ll explore strategies to help you develop fragments into poems, write longer poems, and move your work into more exciting aesthetic and emotional territory. The workshop should give you at least the beginnings of four new poems, and/or transformations of old poems. You’re welcome to bring unfinished poems or fragments to work with—and you may also bring other poems for class discussion. (ages 18+)

Martha Collins
Martha Collins is the co-translator of Dreaming the Mountain and Black Stars. She has also published eleven volumes of poetry.
