At the May 2007 meeting of Milkweed Editions' Editor's Circle, The Farther Shore
by Matthew Eck (forthcoming October 2007) was chosen as the Editor's
Circle selection for Fall 2007. Eck's debut novel is also the winner of
the Milkweed National Fiction Prize and has just been selected for the
Discover Great New Writers Program of Barnes & Noble stores.
Previous Editor's Circle selections are Music for Landing Planes By, by Eireann Lorsung, and The Blue Sky, by Galsan Tschinag (coming in paperback in November 2007).
We invite you to join the Editor's Circle.
¶ An opportunity for those who value original voices in literature to learn more about how publishing works.
¶
Members of the Editor's Circle hear directly from the editor in chief
about new books in progress and together vote on books to be recognized
as Eitor's Circle selections.
¶
The members of the Editor's Circle play a critical role in sustaining
Milkweed's programs—and gain a inside view of the editing process and
publishing world.
¶ A
group of the organization's closest friends dedicated to the literary
arts, the members of the Editor's Circle are recognized in Editor's
Circle selections—and are invited to meet authors and participate in
other activities that deepen their participation in the world of books.
Milkweed Editions gratefully acknowledges the
support of the Editor's Circle.
