 School Library Journal recently reviewed Floramel and Esteban by veteran children's author Emilie Buchwald. Floramel and Esteban, featuring full-page black-and-white illustrations, tells the story of a lonely cow and wayward egret who find inspiration, music, and friendship together on a Caribbean island. School Library Journal says, "The theme of friendship will resonate with children, and reluctant readers will find the short chapters and predictable-yet-satisfying ending appealing."
