Jody Gladding Wins French-American & Florence Gould Foundations Translation Prize |
Jody Gladding was recently awarded the 22nd Annual Translation Prize from the French-American Foundation and Florence Gould Foundation. Each spring the award honors the best English translations of French works published the previous year. Gladding received the fiction prize with Elizabeth Deshays for their translation of Small Lives by Pierre Michon (Archipelago, 2008). Congratulations! Jody Gladding is also the author of the popular new poetry collection Rooms and Their Airs (Milkweed, 2009).
