Pioneer Press Calls Hallman 'Great Summer Reading' |
J.C. Hallman's new story collection, The Hospital for Bad Poets (Milkweed Editions, 2009) was recently identified by the Pioneer Press as "great summer reading." In an article focused on debut fiction by Minnesota authors, the Pioneer Press called Hallman's writing "hilarious." Minnesotans Lawrence Sutin and Paul Zerby rounded out the short list with their new novels When to Go into the Water (Sarabande Books, 2009) and The Grass (North Star Press, 2009), respectively.
