Internship Program Description
Are you interested in publishing? Milkweed Editions provides ongoing unpaid internship opportunities designed to meet the needs of the press, while giving interns the chance to learn about various aspects of work in a nonprofit publishing house. Internships are available in our offices in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. Milkweed Editions provides a wonderful opportunity for hands-on experience in the publishing field. Interns acquire valuable knowledge of the operation of a small, nonprofit literary press, and of the publishing process as a whole.

Marketing Internships
Marketing interns will assist the Marketing Manager with the press’s promotion and sales efforts. Ideal candidates will be energetic, inventive, hard working, web-savvy, and brimming with ideas about creative ways to market our titles. While assisting with a wide range of projects, interns will gain hands-on experience and training in all aspects of book marketing, while also gaining a good understanding of nonprofit literary publishing.

Development interns will work closely with the Development Director in the ongoing work of a small development office. While assisting with a wide range of fundraising projects and working with a broad group of people, interns will gain substantial hands-on experience and specific training in all aspects of nonprofit development, while also gaining a good understanding of nonprofit literary publishing.
